News: One-vehicle accident claims life of Jasper woman

JASPER, AL - A woman died from her injuries after her vehicle crashed on the side of a road north of Jasper this morning, according to Tuscaloosa Thread.
The woman was driving in a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu along Herman Road when she lost control and crashed into a tree on the side of the roadway.
The wreck happened north of Jasper at about 9:13 a.m. this morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Emergency responders transported the driver, a 48-year-old woman from Jasper, to Walker Baptist Hospital for treatment of her injuries. She was later pronounced dead by hospital staff.
It’s unclear at this time what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle.
