News: Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle Near Auburn

MACON COUNTY, AL – A man was killed early yesterday morning in a hit-and-run about 10 miles south of Auburn, WTVM reports.
The man was standing in the southbound lanes of US-29 near milepost 174 at about 3:30 a.m. when an unidentified vehicle ran into him. The car was gone by the time authorities arrived.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. He was a 27-year-old man from Tuskegee.
No further details are available as police continuesto search for the vehicle.
