Driver of Jimmie Hale Mission van dies following collision with semi
BIRMINGHAM, AL – The driver of a Jimmie Hale Mission maintenance van was killed in a crash with a semi truck on Pinson Valley Parkway yesterday afternoon, WVTM reports.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the fatal collision happened in the parkway’s 4400 block at about 4:40 p.m., when the southbound van slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler towing a flatbed trailer.
The van’s 52-year-old male driver died at the scene.
The truck’s driver was not injured.
JCSO is continuing to investigate the fatal collision.
