News: 2 killed after police chase, crash in Hartselle
HARTSELLE, AL – Two passengers of a car that was being pursued by Hartselle police died when the vehicle crashed last weekend, AL.com reports.
The car had been pulled over for a traffic stop at around 10:30 p.m. last Saturday when the driver fled, causing a police chase on US-31 from Flint to Hartselle. The vehicle then crashed at a high rate of speed near Lane Road, causing it to roll an unknown number of times.
The man died at the scene of the crash. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Hartselle Police Department is looking into the case. We will be following this story as it develops.
