News: Crash causes traffic jam on I-20 I-59 EB in central Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A vehicle collision Wednesday morning closed two right lanes and caused a traffic backup on Interstate 20 and Interstate 59 in central Birmingham, according to Birmingham Total Traffic.

The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the I-20 and I-59 interstate at the merge to Red Mountain Expressway near the Druid Hills neighborhood. It was first reported at 8:20 a.m.
Morning commuters were warned of a backup leading back 17th Street, or Exit 125a.
No other updates have been reported on the vehicles involved.
