News: Driver killed after crash with tree on Old Leeds Road near southeast Birmingham
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A driver died Monday morning in a single-vehicle collision involving a tree on Old Leeds Road in Mountain Brook, according to CBS42.
Mountain Brook police responded to the accident in the 4100 block of Old Leeds Road at around 9:45 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead soon after first responders arrived on scene. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed at this time as authorities work to notify family members.
As of Monday afternoon, the cause of the crash is being investigated by the START team (Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team) with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
