News: Garbage truck crashes into side of Bessemer residence

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A driver was evaluated Friday after backing a garbage truck into the side of a house in Bessemer, according to CBS42.

Police say the accident happened in the 5500 block of Pearl Drive.

No information has been reported on the events leading up to the incident, but two sanitation workers were said to have been able to evacuate the truck moments before the crash.

The driver of the truck was transported to a nearby hospital for an evaluation.

No other injuries have been reported.
