News: Man killed in motor vehicle accident on I-65

WARRIOR, AL – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a motor vehicle on Interstate 65 this past Sunday, reports.

The man was in the passenger seat of a car traveling southbound near mile marker 283 when one of its tires blew out, causing it to crash into a tractor-trailer. He then stepped out of the car to inspect the damage and was struck by a passing vehicle at 5:30 am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
