News: Motorcyclist in funeral service killed in accident

TUSCALOOSA, AL – The motorcyclist escorting a funeral motorcade was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox 23.

The motorcyclist was escorting a funeral procession on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when he turned back to recover a phone from the church. He made a U-turn at 19th Street and crashed into another motorcycle in the left lane.

The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old man from Lincoln, died at the scene of the crash. His passenger and the other motorcyclist were transported to nearby hospitals. They are both reportedly in stable condition.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department is currently investigating the case.
