News: One killed after tractor-trailer crash in Chambers County
CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL – The driver of a tractor-trailer died on Monday after his vehicle crashed on the side of the road, The Times-News reports.
A man driving a 2015 Volvo VNL tractor-trailer crashed on Chambers County 83 at about 3:54 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, his vehicle exceeded the speed limit as he attempted to follow a curve in the road. The weight of the trailer’s load shifted and caused the vehicle to flip over. The man was also not wearing a seat belt restraint and was thrown from the tractor-trailer.
He was killed at the scene of the accident, which took place nearly five miles south of LaFayette.
The ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is currently looking into the crash.
