News: One killed, one injured in accident near US-43 in Northport

NORTHPORT, AL – A Northport woman was killed and a teenager was hospitalized after two vehicles crashed on Sunday, CBS 42 reports.

A woman driving a 2007 Ford Mustang collided with a 2005 GMC Sierra on US-43 and Flatwoods Road Sunday night. The Ford driver died at the DCH Tuscaloosa hospital and the 15-year-old passenger of the GMC was transported to a Birmingham hospital. The passenger’s condition is reportedly unstable due to severe injuries.

The cause of this accident is currently unknown and being investigated by the Northport Police Department.
