News: One pedestrian killed, one hurt after being struck by vehicle
BIRMINGHAM, AL – A Toyota struck two pedestrians and killed one woman in North Birmingham this evening, according to AL.com.
A woman was walking with one other pedestrian on 16th Street North when they were hit by a Toyota Camry. According to Birmingham police, they walked into the street from behind several parked cars when the Toyota struck them.
The accident took place within the 2500 block of the road at about 10:40 p.m today.
Emergency responders transported the woman to the University of Alabama Hospital, where she died from her injuries an hour later.
It is unknown if the second pedestrian is in stable condition. We will be following this story as the Birmingham Police Department continues to investigate.
