News: Pedestrian killed after car strikes him on County Road 511

COOSA COUNTY, AL – A man walking on a highway near Goodwater was killed on Saturday after a Jeep struck him, according to AL.com.

A pedestrian on Coosa County 511 was hit by a 1998 Jeep Wrangler at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

He was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The man was a 65-year-old from Goodwater.

The accident took place about four miles north of Goodwater.

The Alabama State Troopers are currently investigating the accident.
