News: Pedestrian killed in accident on I-65 exit

BIRMINGHAM, AL – A woman was fatally injured after being hit by a car on a northbound I-65 exit today, WVTM 13 reports.

Just after 3 p.m., a pedestrian on the highway was struck and killed by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. All lanes of I-65 were shut down for at least an hour after the crash. The wreck occurred at the exit toward Greensprings Avenue, at mile marker 258.

No further information is available as the Birmingham Police Department’s investigation is ongoing.
