News: Pedestrian struck, killed on US-278 near Cullman

CULLMAN, AL – A pedestrian standing on US-278 died after being hit by a sedan last night, CBS 42 reports.

At around 8 p.m., a 2011 Chevy Malibu was traveling on the freeway, west of Cullman when it hit a 78-year-old woman who was standing in the road near County Road 1147.

The woman suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Her identity remains unclear at this time.

The Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently investigating this case.
