News: Three teenagers hospitalized after 18-wheeler crash near Oxford
OXFORD, AL — Three teenage passengers were injured Sunday afternoon when a charter bus became involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 near Oxford, according to ABC 33/40 News.
The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near mile marker 178 and was first reported at 6:30 p.m. The teenagers were on the bus for “a team purpose” at the time.
All three were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, according to the Lincoln Fire Department. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
It is still not clear what led up to the accident and which party was at fault.
As of around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, state troopers with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and city authorities were still at work clearing the crash scene.
