News: Woman struck, killed by pickup truck on US-431

ALBERTVILLE, AL – A woman attempting to help a dog on US-431 was killed after being hit by a pickup truck on Saturday night, WTVA reports.

The unidentified passenger of a vehicle traveling on US-431 spotted a dog about to walk across the highway on Saturday night. She exited the vehicle and crossed multiple lanes before being hit by a southbound pickup truck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries.
