Truck fire cleared after traffic delays on I-65 NB in north Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A waste truck fire early Wednesday morning has been cleared after causing long delays on Interstate 65 northbound in north Birmingham, according to WBRC.
The vehicle fire occurred in the northbound lanes of I-65 near exit 265A to Interstate 22 near the city’s Fairmont neighborhood.
The incident closed one of the lanes approaching the I-22 entrance ramp. It has since reopened.
No further details have yet been released on the circumstances around the fire or any injuries that may have been sustained in it.
